Privacy Policy
Effective Date: October 2026
1. Overview
Browser Arcade ("we", "us", or "our") operates as a static, browser-based gaming website. We respect your privacy and are committed to transparent, responsible data practices. Because our platform is hosted as a static web application with no server-side databases or user accounts, we do not collect, process, or store personal identifying information on our servers.
2. Local Storage and Client-Side Data
To deliver an optimal gaming experience, Browser Arcade utilizes standard browser Local Storage exclusively on your local device. This storage is used to record:
- High Scores: Your best score for games such as 2048 (`BrowserArcade:2048_bestScore`).
- Sound Preferences: Whether audio effects are muted or enabled (`BrowserArcade:sound_enabled`).
- Undo State: Temporary snapshots of active game moves.
This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to any remote server. You can remove this data at any time by clearing your browser's local storage or site data.
3. Third-Party Advertising and Cookies Disclosure
Browser Arcade has pre-structured its visual layout to support third-party advertising networks, such as Google AdSense, in future iterations. At this initial stage, no active advertising scripts or tracking tags are loaded.
When third-party ad networks are activated:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies or web beacons to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other sites on the internet.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visits to our site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- Users may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings or by visiting www.aboutads.info.
4. Hosting Infrastructure & Edge Delivery
Browser Arcade operates as a fully static web platform. When deployed, static assets are served through edge content delivery infrastructure. Web hosting edge servers process basic technical network requests (such as IP addresses, user-agent headers, and requested resource paths) solely for diagnostic operational reliability, security, DDoS mitigation, and edge caching in accordance with standard internet infrastructure privacy practices.
5. Public Feedback & Issue Submissions
Feedback initiated through our Contact page is prepared to open directly as public GitHub Issues on our open repository. Browser Arcade does not operate a backend database and does not automatically capture or store your submitted feedback on a private server. Any information you choose to post on GitHub (including name, issue details, and optional email) becomes publicly visible and is handled subject to GitHub's privacy terms.
6. Children's Privacy
Browser Arcade provides casual puzzle and arcade games accessible to players of all ages. Because we do not request, harvest, or store personal information, we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age of 13.
7. Contact Regarding Privacy
If you have questions or inquiries regarding our privacy disclosure, please open an issue or inquiry through our GitHub Repository or reach out through our Contact Page.
